FIVE THINGS TO DO TO GET OVER A BREAKUP

Loving someone is fun, to be loved in return is priceless, but there is nothing worse than having to end a relationship you love so much, or learning to live without your significant other. Are yo having a hard time trying to get over a breakup? Worry no more. Eva shares with you 5 tips on how to get over a breakup.
  1. Get off social media for a period of time: the social media has a way of rubbing a break-up in your face. If you’re that type that loves scrolling the pages of social media, then find a new hobby, let your hands itch for something else… try scrolling through the news and grabbing some vital information about the world. Avoid stalking your ex on social media, if possible, unfriend or block their contact so that you won’t get a constant reminder that this person is there always… let’s admit it, it calls your name, and whispers “ check me out” but say NO to the temptation. Avoid posting inspiration quotes dealing with bad relationships, avoid tweets about how much fun you are having with your newly single life etc. just simply quit social media for that period.
  2. Change your genre of movies: most people say the ritual of a breakup is probably having a night with ice cream, chocolate, tissue papers, and crying your soul out. No people, there’s no need wasting your tears for a breakup. Romantic movies are what most ladies like. For a time like this, try something different. Try watching a horror movies that’ll keep you in suspense and at the edge of your seat. Also try watching hard core action movies without romantic scenes. These would surely keep your mind away. You can also try watching documentaries.
  3. Get out of your comfort zone where you can cry and think about him/her, stay away from being alone, try going out to have fun, visit friends that love having fun to the fullest, go out and explore, there’s no limit. Stop sulking over him/her
  4. Get a distraction: distractions can go a long way in healing wounds. Have you ever been to the hospital for an injection and then someone is telling you a very interesting story that you didn’t even notice when the injection got in and out? Yes!!! This is what distraction does to pain… get on the floor, try scrubbing your tiles until its sparling clean or until you forget about what’s making you sad. Try an extreme makeover with your home or your body. Just simply get a distraction that’s comfortable with you.
  5. Give it time, and love yourself: time heals all wounds. Everything in life takes time to heal, leave, come by etc… it isn’t magic. Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all. Learning how to love yourself is a key ingredient in happiness. You can’t move on to a better person or place without time, so also it is with loving yourself. Give self-love to the one that deserves it (YOU). Love yourself unconditionally, it’ll help you forgive yourself and move on
